In recent years the economic, health, environmental and various other benefits of cycling have been garnering attention in Japan. This report initially examines the causes and current state of the various and yet to be fundamentally rectified problems related to bicycle usage in Tokyo's central core such as accidents and illegal parking. While referring to useful and practical case examples from cities in Europe and North America, we are proposing a safe and agreeable plan for cyclists in Minato Ward in order to become a town in which everyone will feel like they want to ride a bike.
