This document surveys and analyzes the urban development implemented by former Mayor Bloomberg, who exercised insightful private managerial skills to rebuild the administrative structure of New York City.
In preparing to host the Olympics in five years, while Tokyo has made rapid progress in urban development, in order to propose a framework that will make post-Olympics Tokyo even more appealing and that attracts even more people, goods and money, the focus of urban-development research is centered on the advances made in New York City.
Macro-data surveys, interviews with relevant persons and investors, and studies of the pertinent literature were conducted, and how Bloomberg administration created a high-quality urban space that revitalized the economy was analyzed.
