There are approximately 1.34 million active seniors living in the 23 wards of Tokyo. Using 35 indicators across 7 categories, we evaluated the livability for seniors of each ward’s living conditions. From the results, we found that although there are differences in situation, favorable environments can be found in each ward. Additionally, we discovered that differences in factors such as ways of living, hobbies and interests, and household budgets, they correspond to differences in what constitute a livable town for the person concerned.
